Gifts In Memory
When a loved one dies, it can be comforting to celebrate them by helping others in their memory.
Your remembrance giving will enable us to offer spiritual, pastoral and practical help to seafarers from all over the world: a wonderful way to keep alive the spirit and values of those you love.
There are three ways Apostleship of the Sea (AoS) can help you do this:
Collection at Funeral
If you would like people to make a donation in memory of a loved one to Apostleship of the Sea at a funeral or memorial service, we can provide you with AoS collection envelopes and information leaflets. Just phone us on 020 7901 1931 or email firstname.lastname@example.org and let us know the quantities and your postal address.
Make a gift in memory
You can make a donation online and tell us a little about your relative or friend. We will include them in our prayers at Mass during the week when you inform us. They will also be included in our special annual Mass of Remembrance in November*. Complete the form HERE.
Leave a legacy in your Will
After providing for your loved ones, please consider leaving a proportion of what's left to AoS. Any gift, large or small, helps us support seafarers and their families - today and into the future. More details HERE.
As an alternative to the above, many people like to set up a special page online to make a collection for charity in memory of a loved one – for example on JustGiving. If you would like to do this on behalf of Apostleship of the Sea, we would be very honoured. Please let us know that you are doing it, with the name of the person in whose memory the donations are made, so that we can keep track of the gifts.
* In November 2017 Apostleship of the Sea paid tribute to the generosity of those who passed away and left us a gift in their Will over the last year. MORE DETAILS HERE.
